Roland Outdoor

Roland Outdoor officially started out in 1995, at that time we were named Roland Lawn Care and did mostly mowing. As the business began to grow, we made several changes along the way. In 1997 we changed our name to Roland Lawn Service. With this name change we started maintaining landscape and doing some tree and shrub planting.

 

One year later added lawn fertilizing and weed control to our services, this is now our Lawn Care Department. We saw a need in Hannibal for a landscape design and installation company, so we brought in a landscape designer and a crew dedicated to landscape maintenance and installation.

In 2003 we moved our offices and building to our current location at Roland Place in Hannibal. This move consolidated all our offices, material yard and building to one location. At that time we changed our name to Roland Outdoor, Inc. to broaden our classification and easily allow for other services in the future; with this name change came a new logo.

 

In 2006 we brought in a irrigation expert to guide us into commercial and residential irrigation industry for lawns and landscapes.

Technology driven, coffee loving, seasoned entrepreneur @troyroland started working in Green Industry at a very early age.  Today troy continues his passion, he is active with strategic planning and development of Roland Outdoor.

Troy is on the JWCC Landscape and Turf Grass Management board and is a member of the Hannibal Lions Club.  Troy is father of 2 and married to Shannon for 14 years.  He enjoys boating, motorcycling, playing guitar, creating and recording music.

With the unique ability to precisely align the structure and finances of Roland Outdoor, Shannon is never at rest.  Shannon is actively involved with all aspects of Roland Outdoor.

Shannon holds degree in Horticulture from John Wood College.  She was one of the few to receive a certificate for the completion of the Horticultural Occupational and Professional Experience Program.  Shannon is a board member of the JWCC Landscape and Turf grass Management Program and a member of the Hannibal Rotary Club.  Shannon is a proud mother of 2 great kids.  She enjoys boating, spending time with family and friends and reading.

Ronnie Davis

Landscape Manger/Designer

Ronnie has been with Roland Outdoor for 9 years and in the green industry for 13 years.  Ronnie manages our Landscape Department and is Head Designer.  He holds a A.A.S Degree in Horticulture from Linn State Technical College and a B.A.S in Organizational Management from HLG.  Ronnie specializes in creative landscape design and project management.
 
Ronnie is also a proud husband and father of 3.  For fun he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching and playing baseball.  He also enjoys water; rivers, lakes or ponds.  Ronnie tells me he is aspiring to become a carpenter "but don’t expect Noah's Ark"

Lawn/Landscape Maintenance Manager/Sales

Patrick manages our maintenance department which consist of mowing, shrub/tree trimming and landscape bed maintenance.  Patrick has been with us for 7 years.  You will also see Patrick managing select landscape install and irrigation projects.  Patrick's attention to detail is what Roland Outdoor is all about.  He likes to fish, hunt and spend time with his family.

Al Roisum

Consultant, "Our Company Coach"

Al has been in the green industry 48 years and with us for 4 years.  Al has a B.S. Degree with Honors in Soil Science from University of North Dakota; he has a master pest control license in Minnesota.  Al acts as our consultant, team coach and good friend.  A few of Al's specialties are irrigation, water features, trees, business management and development.  Al is a pilot, enjoys golf and most of all loves our Industry and is truly passionate about it.  Al and his wife live in Hannibal; they have 5 awesome kids, 22 terrific grandkids and one cute great grandchild.  "Wise Ol Al"
